Why I’m Running
The Texas Young Republicans Federation (TYRF) is at a turning point. We have the talent, the energy, and the influence to be one of the most effective political organizations in Texas - but we’ve been distracted by lawsuits, factional divides, and lost partnerships. I’m running for Chair to change that.
My goal is simple: end the drama, restore our credibility, and focus on winning elections in 2026 and beyond.
1. Resolve the TYRF v. Chad Cohen Lawsuit
This costly legal battle has dragged on far too long, draining donor dollars and distracting from our mission. As Chair, I will work to bring all parties to the table to negotiate a settlement that protects TYRF’s interests and allows us to move forward and focus on winning in 2026.
We cannot afford to keep fighting each other when we should be fighting for Republican victories.
2. Restore Partnership with the Republican Party of Texas
TYRF voluntarily forfeited its partnership status with the Republican Party of Texas - a decision that left us isolated from the very organization we should be working alongside. I will rebuild trust, reopen communication, and secure formal partnership status once again.
Together with the RPT, we will be stronger, more effective, and better positioned to elect conservatives at every level.
3. Conduct a Full Financial & Legal Audit
Transparency builds trust. I will commission a third-party audit of TYRF’s finances and review our legal and tax structure to ensure we are maximizing resources and operating at the highest standard.
Donors deserve to know their contributions are being used effectively, and members deserve an organization that’s above reproach.
4. Unify TYRF Through the Texas YR Compact
Our Federation is made up of diverse chapters and strong personalities. That’s our strength - when we work together. I will ask every Executive Committee member and chapter president to sign the Texas YR Compact, a pledge to put unity, respect, and shared purpose ahead of personal grudges.
We may not agree on everything, but we can agree on this: our mission comes first.
5. Refocus on 2026 and Beyond
The next two years will define the political landscape in Texas. We need to be laser-focused on winning targeted races, recruiting strong candidates, and training the next generation of conservative leaders.
Under my leadership, TYRF will:
Provide campaign training for candidates and staff
Mobilize volunteers for key battleground districts
Develop chapter toolkits to grow membership and influence
Expand our reach into communities where Republican ideas can win
The Bottom Line
TYRF should be a place where young conservatives come together to make an impact - not tear each other apart. We have too much at stake to waste time on division. The 2026 elections will be here before we know it, and I believe we can - and will - win if we’re united, disciplined, and mission-driven.
Join me in rebuilding TYRF. Let’s restore integrity, rebuild unity, and refocus our mission - together.
